OTHER MINISTRIES REOPENING
The Covid-19 Response Team (CRT) has been working tirelessly with pastoral staff and ministry leaders on when to bring back other ministries for in-person gatherings including children’s program, Sunday school classes, fellowship, etc. Pray for planning and seeking the will of the Lord, and provision of resources and manpower. Announcement will be made once details are confirmed.
Instructions for Preparing Holy Communion at Home:
• Before worship begins, set a table with enough bread (Hawaiian bread or unsalted Saltine Crackers) and grape juice for each baptized family member present.
• During our live-streamed worship service, the pastor will speak the familiar words of ordinance, “On the night He was betrayed, Jesus took the bread…” At that time, you will break your bread and share the bread/cracker with all those present in your household. As you give a piece of bread to each family member say the words, “The Body of Christ given for you.” Partake of the bread following the instruction of the pastor.
• The pastor will then say, “In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”” As you pass the grape juice to each family member speak the words, “The Blood of Christ shed for you.” Then wait for the instruction of the pastor and partake of the cup together.
• At the conclusion of the Communion, the pastor will do a corporate prayer.
