PRAY FOR FAMILIES
Family holds a special place in God’s heart. It’s the vital and foundational unity of society. God’s Word makes it clear that families play a central role in disseminating the tenets of our faith to the next generation. Loving homes model virtues such as sacrifice, patience and unconditional love to a watching world, and committed marriages exemplify Christ’s devotion to His Church.
The institution of family in the culture is facing intense perse- cution. Incidences of divorce, infidelity and abuse are on the rise. Pray for building and restoration of family by the power of the gospel. Seek God for harvest of gospel-centered homes in every neighborhood, they will image Christ in a crooked and depraved generation. Pray for our elected leaders and the members of our judicial system to be advocates of healthy families built upon godly principles.
Pray for families to know and love God:
- Christian household to love and obey God. Honor and treasure God’s Word. Make it their mission to teach and model Christ-centered living to generations to come. (Deuteronomy 6: 6-7)
- Protection from the evil one. Renew families with active and working praying life. Don’t let Satan deceive and distract them from seeking You. (Colossians 4:2)
- Grow in the capacity to love and forgive. Their homes will be a place that
demonstrate selfless love, and submission to one another in Christ. (Ephesians 5)
